My approach to yoga has been gradual and with some intermediate break, about 6 years ago I arrived in Barcelona, y first practices were in very small classes, almost deprived of five people with Bilyana Iliykova.
I had always been very attracted to Yoga and had finally found the time to try it, and since then a little seed has been cultivated in there, happening to develop with strength and vigor from the last 3 years, where yoga has become In part of me and my day to day.
My practice is developed in the lineage of Hatha Raja Yoga, also known as "Dharma Yoga", following the teachings of Andrei Ram Om, teacher of Yogaia, center in which I have received the training and where I also performed the immersion with one's own Andrei Ram of 70h.
# Hatha Raja Yoga #
The lessons taught will be from Hatha Raja, following the teachings of our teacher Andrei Ram Om, coming from the tradition of the lineage of his teacher Sri Dharma Mittra.
Hatha Yoga focuses on the practice of asanas (postures), control of breathing and energy through pranayama, and control of the senses through Pratyahara.
Raja Yoga provides us with the practice of concentration (Dharana) as the basis for meditation (Dhyana), leading us through self-knowledge towards supreme self-realization (Samadhi).
To this is added the knowledge and practice of universal ethical and moral principles of behavior towards others and with oneself (Yamas and Niyamas), pillars of the 8-step system of Patanjali ashtanga yoga (Yama, Niyama, Asana , Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi) without which Yoga loses all its potential and meaning as a system that guides us on our spiritual path of self-realization.
On this system of 8 steps and through the practices of Hatha and Raja yoga will be constructed the sequences and the practice of the classes.
Although under the tradition of our lineage, no levels are distinguished, and we all share our practice from the same consciousness, regardless of our experience or progress on the individual path.
As our teacher always says, "Yoga is neither studied nor taught, practiced ..."
So that will be my work in these classes, show from my experience and share with you the practice, so that together we can advance from its starting point and on its way.
Om Namah Shivaya.
